PERU-INCA’S LAND

The history of Peru dates back to the 4th century B.C. and to the ancient societies of Chavín, Moche and Nasca. The best known era of Peruvian history came later, in the 15th century, with the enigmatic Inca civilization, which emerged as a powerful state in this period. Growing up out of its capital in Cusco, this revered civilization began as a small ethnic group of Quechua, but soon its influence expanded to incorporate its neighbors under the great Emperor Pachacuti.

Known for its gastronomic repertoire and its history, since it housed the enigmatic INCA civilization, it has many attractions to offer. The civilization flourished to such an extent that it is believed to have had a population of approximately 16 million, who worshiped the Sun God.
