Quito was declared by UNESCO in 1978 as “Cultural Heritage of Humanity” and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Latin America.

We will visit both the modern and the old part, characterized by the number of churches and squares of which we will visit “The Cathedral” “The Archbishop’s Palace” “The Presidential or Carondelet Palace” that are located in the main square called “Plaza Grande” , “La Compañía de Jesús (church covered throughout its interior with gold)” plaza and church of “San Francisco”, then we will go to “El Panecillo” the best viewpoint in the city

We will move to the “Middle of the World City”, visit the “Intiñan” museum, famous for the experiments carried out there, and also feel the excitement of being in the 2 hemispheres: north and south at the same time.

Very early in the morning we leave in our transportation, approximately 3 hours later we will visit the most impressive crater and lagoon in Ecuador, belonging to the Illinizas Ecological Reserve.

There you will have the opportunity to walk along the bottom of the lagoon and return on horseback if you wish. On the way we will stop in Tigua, a painter’s town, and we will also visit a guinea pig farm, highly appreciated in typical Ecuadorian cuisine. All this while passing through one of the most impressive landscapes in Ecuador. In the afternoon, return to Quito.
